A Lesson on Facing Your Fears...

My hubs is out of town this weekend :( Sad face. It's only for 4 days and it's more than halfway over now, but it's been defineatly different. It'll be a good day when I pick him up on Monday:)
On a different note, I have the chance to feed and collect the eggs from the chickens in our backyard. No biggy, right? Well,
I found out I have a fear.
This rooster.
He hates me.
And I have to stick my hand in there and get those eggs?
Ay-yay
I would have never thought that I would be so afraid for my fingers, or of roosters for that matter.
So I bet your wondering if I was able to face my fears and just do it?
Nope, why face them when you can outsmart them :) Found this handy-dandy tool in the corner and smiled to myself as the rooster snapped uselessly at it's metal handle.

Tah-dah!! Take that scary-snappy-rooster!

  1. Laura, I am so afraid of chickens/roosters as well. When I was a missionary we sometimes did service at an investigator's house, who had several chickens and rooster and I could never get the eggs. There was so many chickens, and I was positive that they had a conspiracy to poke my eyes out
