It took one month for Pablo and I to find a house, close, and move in. One, insane month. The month of March was go, go, go; between looking at three houses a night, running to and from the bank, closing, looking for furniture, and getting it all into the house, there wasn't much time for sitting. Now that we are here though, we feel so comfortable and relaxed. Everything is unpacked and liveable now and so I thought I'd give you all a look inside :)
First, we moved to a small town named Waterloo, Nebraska. It's just west of Elkhorn and Omaha and only 20 minutes from Target, Lowes, Walmart, Taco Bell, and Panda Express, etc. WE LOVE IT!! Walking around with the stroller in the afternoon every street is bustling with kids playing, adults doing yard work, and elderly people falling asleep in their chairs on the front porch. I especially love the drive out here, with lush green fields and farms all around us.
The house is 1795 sq ft with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Its a split level with a walk-out basement and two car garage and a patio on the second floor right off the dining area. Enough talk, here are pictures! We pretty much have everything now (we went a week without a table, chairs, or a couch, haha) except for the little things here and there.

So that is our place. Of course we love it and are enjoying the freedom that comes from having our own place, as well as dealing with all the "fun" parts of home ownership. Our realtor was right, Lowe's is our best friend right now (and the place for many date nights). My brothers are coming into town for Independence Day and bringing their families, so Pablo and I are so glad we have space to offer.
What is the most exciting about this whole thing isn't the sq footage or decor- its having that opportunity to build a HOME. Its a beautiful thing to talk about our family expanding in these walls and watching all of us grow here. We want to remodel some things in the future and add a fence to the backyard. I'm looking forward to landscaping the backyard and I know Pablo is excited to organize the entire garage.
Thank you for all of you who made it this far down the post! Am I the only one who feels like they talk forever? Haha. I look forward to inviting some of you over for dinner! And for our friends, we have a guest room...... ;)
