We Have Catching Up to Do!

January is my favorite month:) Everything seems to happen, or get planned in January. This year was no exception. This was my first ever January taking college classes, this Fast Grad thing is pretty neat. I go to school all year and love it, except for the cold that comes along with Winter semester. Pablo and I are always saying that we want to move somewhere warm after we graduate and I think about that hope every icy and freezing morning on my way to school. It can be really pretty up here on a good day though. Here is some snow for all of you already living in those warm states! We also celebrated my birthday on the 18th. I am now 22 years old! Pablo and I went to the mall, where we found ourselves needing to take a restful sit on the mall couches after walking in and out of stores just looking at whats trendy these days. He bought some beautiful flowers that were bright enough to remind me summer and sunny days. I cant wait till those days come our way:)
Gorgeous aren't they? Happiness in a bundle of color! Our celebration came just in time, the next week Pablo and I checked him in to the surgical center. Since the summer he has been suffering from a lot of pain, with no definitive explanations or cures. Finailly we heard from a doctor who told us the gallbladder needed to come out! So that's what we were doing. I waited for about an hour before they called me back to see him again after his surgery.
He was totally on drugs and wasn't sure of anything around him. He was so cute, even asking us over and over if they had done the surgery or not. He was convinced he hadn't had any surgery at all at that piont! Then he slept and slept some more before I drove him home to recover there. It was hard to leave him at home the rest of the week while i was gone all day with school and work. I wanted to be at home taking care of him, making sure he had something to eat, all those wifey things like that. Its been two weeks now and Pablo is walking, going to work and feels much better. This surgery will be such a blessing for both of us. It was hard this last summer for Pablo to eat or do much because of his pains- pains that no one could diagnos. Hiking, running, sports were hard and frustrating. What a trooper though! He hiked in the Tetons and again in Island Park this last summer! I love him for his patience and good humor through these last 8 months of his pain. We are excited to train for races, go hiking, do sports and excersise! Pablo is preparing for his 10k run this June and I have printed off a half-marathon training schedule for myself.

Looking Back on 2010

What a good year 2010 has been for Pablo and I!
Pablo started working for Melaleuca Co. in Febraury.
I got a job as a Pharmacy Technician in April
and we took a road trip to Arizona. I ran the Teton Dam 10k in June.
Both played competitve and rec soccer and
Pablo and I watched the South Africa Soccer World Cup ALL DAY during the summer!! Watched a Real Salt Lake game
and celebrated our year anniversary in August.

We hiked in the Teton Mountains,

and stood at the crest of a raging waterfull at Island Park.

We began attending the Spanish Branch in September.
I got accepted to Fast Grad in November.
Pablo and I began planning for a trip to Brasil 2014 World Cup in December.
2o1o has gone by so fast it seems, as years often do. But 2011 will bring our 2 year anniversary and our last semesters at BYU-Idaho, and many more adventures that I can't even plan or expect right now. I can't wait:)
Heralding in the New Year
Pablo had to work on New Year's Eve, all the way till 12 o'clock! But that didn't dampen our spirits:) While both of our husbands were working, Carolina and I decided to suprise our husbands with a New Year's feast! Yes, it was a very late meal! Okay, so I don't have much experience in cooking big meals with all the trimmings, since I've been blessed enough to have family around for Thanksgivings and Christmas's, so this was a first for me! We had two ovens cooking away and I couldn't believe how much fun we had putting our domestic on and putting together a great meal for 2011. Take a look!
Yummmm! Brasilian Pujeen!!!
The two beautiful cooks

The hubs were so suprised (and hungry and tired!) when they got home. We toasted to the New Year and feasted, laughed and enjoyed ourselves.
