Kansas City, Kansas
Arrowhead Stadium
Pablo left work Tuesday afternoon and the three of us piled into our car and made a three hour road trip from Omaha to Kansas City! Pablito did great, eating lunch and observing for an hour or so before sleeping a good two hours. Our hotel was only 20 minutes from the stadium, on the Missouri side, and we arrived early enough to stretch out, explore the 200+ cable channels (we ended up on BBC America watching Planet Earth because Pablito was glued to it), and change into our MEXICO GEAR!!
The game was great! Our seats were on the "club level" so it was a little nicer with carpet and couches inside before stepping out to the stadium seats. Pablo met a soccer star on his way to his VIP booth and snagged a photo with him. He was head-over-heels excited for that once in a lifetime chance.
The crowd kept Pablito entertained and he sat on my lap stoically observing the game ( "ball!" "Look look! Ball!" ) and the eccentric fans. Mexico won 1-0 and we watched the police tackle 5 guys who rushed the field when the game was over. That was entertaining, haha!
Traffic was HORRIBLE leaving the stadium but that is sort of to be expected right? Made it to the hotel room at 11:30pm, changed into comfortable, clean pajamas, and the three of us all but passed out on the bed watching the Food Network Channel. It was awesome:)
