Roadtrip To Arizona

Charisse and I have been friends since she moved to Nebraska in 2001 or 2002. Since then we have done some pretty crazy/fun stuff and made the best memories anyone could ask for! Add Chelsea and Renee into the mix and high school became that much crazier! Well, last weekend Chelsea, Renee and I were able to travel to Charisse's wedding in Arizona to be her bridesmaids and help make it the best day of her life! Here is just some of the fun we had together... Congratulations Charisse! You looked beautiful and sooo happy!
That wasn't all the fun we had on our vaca, I got to be with my Mom and Dad. They flew down for the wedding and also to be with my brother who lives just outside Mesa. I was so happy to see them! I appreciate them so much more now that I dont get to see them all the time and it felt so very good to give them all the hugs I wanted. Once the wedding was done, the reception over and the bride and groom on their way- Pablo and I relaxed with my family.
Which means that I got to be with my beautiful mom!
and Uncle Pablo was a big hit with the niece and nephews... (This is just too cute!)
Saturday morning all of piled in the car to be at the Arizona Peach Harvest. They had a lot of stuff for the kids there. Peacocks, maze, large slide, playground and a petting zoo were all there along with a lot of peach jams and pies. At the end of it, we left left with a pie and 5 lbs. of fresh, melt-in-your-mouth peaches.

Saturday night Pablo showed off his cooking skills for the family with homemade enchiladas verde. That's my Pablo, always the cook:)
How was the drive down and back? Pablo was able to get the new Sonata from work, so we felt pretty fly in our ride. On the way down the GPS route we were following sent us down this highway that abruptly ended into dirt and gravel. The GPS said it was a short-cut, but 5 minutes on a gravel road in the middle of the desert, we decided to turn back. Haha, I think I heard the GPS give a little sigh when it said "Recalucating Route" ! We listened to Michael Beble's new song "I Just Haven't Met You Yet" about 20 times on the radio, did a lot of laughing and even got to see a Doritos bag look like it was going to explode in the car.
All in all, I wouldn't have traded our weekend in Arizona for anything in the world. I already miss my Dad's humor and my mom's loving hugs. My brother, Doug, and his wife were so much fun to be with- Thanks for letting Pablo and I stay there and play with the kids! I love you guys and hopefully we will all be able to see each other again this year!
