Pablo and I are both into soccer. It has been a part of our relationship since the beginning when I asked us to postpone our first date for my college soccer game. Every summer we join the competitive soccer teams and spend hours practicing in the sun and evenings watching games. When winter brings snow and bitter winds to our beloved soccer fields on the hill, the fun moves indoors every Monday and Thursday- with Futsal! Futsal is not like indoor soccer, even though it is played indoors. But Futsal uses a smaller ball, smaller court, and only 5 players from each team on the field. It is great for skill building! A smaller court and smaller ball means you have to be quick with your feet and quick with your passes. The game also takes different shoes from those used outdoors, with cleats on the bottom. And Pablo has been using the same shoes in... forever. Big holes and duct tape gave his shoes "character", but I was more worried about him spraining an ankle! So we invested in some new shoes! And these shoes are exciting because Pablo got to custom make them! They are the new NIKE T5 Custom indoor shoes, where you can pick almost any color combination you want for your shoes. For the last 5 weeks we've been awaiting their arrival and today was the big day! So watch out everyone in the Futsal world, Pablo's ready to play! (oh, and we are keeping the old ones though, for sentimental value. I think it's a guy thing:)
